Wellness Exams & Preventive Care

A full nose-to-tail exam and a preventive-care plan built around your pet's actual life stage — not a one-size-fits-all checklist.

Overview

What this actually involves.

A wellness exam at Denwell starts the same way every time: a technician records weight, temperature, and history, then one of our veterinarians does a complete nose-to-tail physical — heart and lungs, eyes and ears, skin and coat, joints and gait, teeth and gums, abdomen. It routinely catches things owners haven’t noticed yet, from an early heart murmur to a slowly stiffening hip, while they’re still easy to manage.

From there we build a preventive-care plan around your pet’s real life stage rather than a generic annual checklist: puppies and kittens get a vaccine and parasite-prevention schedule spaced correctly across their first year, adults get baseline bloodwork established while they’re healthy so later results actually mean something, and senior pets get more frequent screening for the conditions that become common past age seven — kidney values, thyroid, joint health, and weight trend over time.

  • Weight, dental, and mobility screening
  • A preventive-care plan matched to your pet's life stage
